Terms of Service

1. Overview
IndieData is a privacy-focused analytics platform designed to give indie developers and startups full control of their data while providing a complete analytics solution. By using IndieData, you agree to these Terms of Service (TOS). Our platform intermediates between your website and your Supabase database to track events securely and efficiently without compromising privacy.
2. Account Registration and Access
- Account Creation: To use IndieData, you must register by providing your name, email address, and password. We store this information securely and do not share it with third parties.
- Free and Paid Plans:
- Free Plan: Includes up to 10,000 pageviews per month, supports 1 connected website, and does not allow custom events.
- Pro Plan: One-time payment of $39 (promotional price) through Stripe. No pageview limits apply unless misuse is detected.
- The pageview limit applies only to our internal tracking and does not reflect any limits on your Supabase database.
3. Service Features
3.1. Privacy-Focused Analytics
IndieData does not use cookies for tracking.
All event data is processed on our servers and sent directly to your Supabase database.
If you enable the optional "Replicate Data" feature during setup, event data will be stored on IndieData’s servers for 30 days to optimize performance and reduce egress costs. Otherwise, data is stored only in your Supabase database.
3.2. Security
During site setup, you will provide your Supabase project’s URL and anon key. These credentials are securely stored and used exclusively for server-side requests.
You may deactivate a site at any time, and your Supabase credentials will be immediately removed from our system.
3.3. User Control
IndieData serves as an intermediary between your website and your Supabase database, giving you full control over your data.
You may delete your Supabase credentials at any time.
4. Data Usage and Privacy
IndieData is designed to be privacy-friendly. We do not share or sell your data under any circumstances.
For free plan users, we maintain a simple event counter to enforce plan limits. No detailed analytics data is stored on our servers unless replication is enabled.
If replication is enabled, data is deleted automatically after 30 days.
5. Prohibited Uses
You may not use IndieData for:
- Illegal activities.
- Collecting data without proper consent (e.g., violating GDPR or similar regulations).
- Overloading our system with abusive requests. If such behavior is detected, we may pause your account and contact you for resolution.
6. Limitation of Liability
IndieData provides the Service "as is" without any guarantees of uptime, performance, or fitness for a particular purpose. We are not responsible for losses resulting from the use of the Service, including financial losses or data breaches.
7. Intellectual Property
All rights to the IndieData platform, including code, branding, and content, remain the property of IndieData. Users retain ownership of their analytics data stored in their Supabase database.
8. Plan Restrictions and Abuse
Free Plan users are limited to 10,000 pageviews per month. Paid plan users may have usage reviewed if abusive patterns (e.g., excessive requests) are identified.
IndieData reserves the right to pause or terminate access in cases of misuse.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these TOS periodically. Updates will be reflected by the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document. Continued use of the Service after changes indicates your acceptance of the new terms.
10. Governing Law and Disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil. Any disputes arising from these terms will be resolved in Brazilian courts.
